GAMEFACE – TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, visits, purchases, and use of the Gameface website and venues. By making a booking or attending Gameface, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. ABOUT GAMEFACE Gameface (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates immersive, competitive social gaming venues combining interactive games and bar service. Our full company details are available on the website footer.
2. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
2.1 Bookings All sessions must be booked via our website or authorised booking partners. Bookings are made for a fixed duration and include access to multiple games within that time. Late arrivals may result in reduced play time. No extensions or refunds will be offered for late arrival.
2.2 Group Size Games are designed for up to 6 players per team. Minimum and maximum group sizes apply per booking and are displayed at the time of booking. We reserve the right to split larger groups across multiple teams or start times.
2.3 Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are per person and inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Promotional codes, discounts, or complimentary places have no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
2.4 Pricing and website errors If a booking is accepted at an incorrect price, Gameface may cancel and refund or contact the customer to offer the booking at the correct price.
3. CANCELLATIONS, AMENDMENTS & REFUNDS
3.1 Cancellations All bookings are non-refundable unless stated otherwise at the time of booking. As we are selling you a leisure activity, this means there is no statutory cooling off period as there usually is when you buy a service on-line. If you wish to cancel a table booking without any associated Experience booking, we will refund the table booking paid, unless your table booking is part of a ticketed special event in which case no refund will be made. We may offer rescheduling at our discretion, subject to notice periods and availability.
3.2 Amendments Re-scheduling your booking may be possible, but only at the discretion of the Gameface venue general manager. In all circumstances, your request to re-schedule a booking must be made more than 72 hours prior to the time of the original booking, and any re-scheduled booking must be within 30 days of your original booking. If, for whatever reason, we are unable to accommodate your booking on an alternative date, or if you give us less than 72 hours’ notice of your request to reschedule a booking, you will not be due a refund. Reductions in group size will not result in partial refunds. Increases in group size are subject to availability and additional charges.
3.3 Our Right to Cancel We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings due to operational issues, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or reschedule will be offered. 4. AGE
RESTRICTIONS & ENTRY Minimum age requirements apply and are displayed clearly on the website. Valid photo ID may be required. Alcohol is served in line with our Premises Licence and Challenge 25 policy. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove guests at any point in the experience who: Appear intoxicated Act aggressively, disruptively, or unsafely Fail to comply with staff instructions No refunds will be given where entry is refused for these reasons.
5. HEALTH, SAFETY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
5.1 Nature of Activities Gameface activities involve physical movement, reaction challenges, competitive play, and some games with moving parts. Participation carries inherent risks. You acknowledge that these risks are an inherent part of the experience and choose to participate with an understanding of those risks.
5.2 Assumption of Risk By participating, you acknowledge and accept that: There is a risk of injury, collision, slips, trips, or other hazards. Alcohol consumption may impair judgment and coordination. You voluntarily assume all such risks associated with participation.
5.3 Health Declaration You confirm that: You are physically and mentally fit to participate. You have no medical condition that would impair safe participation. You will notify staff of any condition, injury, or need for assistance.
5.4. CONDUCT & SAFETY RULES
All guests must: Always follow staff instructions. Behave responsibly and respectfully toward staff and other guests. Keep game equipment (balls, pucks, tiles, etc.) within designated play areas and retrieve items safely if they leave play zones. Refrain from violence, abuse, vandalism, or unsafe behaviour. Failure to comply may result in removal from the venue without refund.
6. ALCOHOL & BAR SERVICE Alcohol service is at the discretion of trained staff. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to: Serving intoxicated guests Illegal substances Anti-social behaviour Alcohol may not be taken into or out of the premises unless permitted by law. Drinks may be taken into games only where explicitly allowed.
7. DAMAGE & BEHAVIOUR Guests are responsible for their own conduct and that of their group. Any damage caused to games, equipment, fixtures, or the venue may be charged to the booking holder. We reserve the right to recover costs for repairs, cleaning, or loss of use.
8. LIABILITY & RELEASE To the fullest extent permitted by law: You release Gameface, its employees, and agents from liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation. This release does not apply in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by Gameface. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. PROPERTY, EQUIPMENT & RFID Personal belongings are brought on site at your own risk. Lockers or storage (if provided) do not constitute acceptance of responsibility. You are responsible for the care and return of RFID bracelets or issued equipment. Lost or damaged equipment due to negligence may be charged to the booking holder.
10. INCIDENT REPORTING All injuries, near misses, or unsafe conditions must be reported to staff immediately. Incident details will be recorded in accordance with our Health & Safety procedures.
11. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & CONTENT CCTV is in operation for safety and security. Photography and video may be taken in-venue for marketing purposes. By attending Gameface, you consent to being photographed or filmed unless you notify us otherwise. Guests are welcome to take personal photos and videos unless restricted for safety or operational reasons.
12. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Booking data may be used for operational, safety, and customer communication purposes. Marketing communications are opt-in and can be unsubscribed at any time.
13. VOUCHERS & GIFT CARDS Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Expiry dates apply and are clearly stated. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY All branding, games, content, and materials are the intellectual property of Gameface. No content may be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.
15. ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to contact us prior to booking regarding the suitability of our games for any health or disability issues that you may be concerned about.
16. VENUE RULES INCORPORATION You acknowledge that house rules and venue safety briefings form part of the Terms once on site. If your experience was not up to expectations, or any issues occurred, inform the duty manager before leaving the venue.
17. FORCE MAJEURE We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: Fire, flood, or extreme weather Government restrictions Utility or systems failures
18. GOVERNING LAW These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT By completing a booking, signing digitally, or entering the venue, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
